After a whirlwind beginning, Shotgun Alley can be named one of New Zealand’s hottest and most charismatic rock acts to make their mark In the Kiwi Music Industry in the last five years. What started as a side project led to the six-strong, melodic rock outfit forming in late January 2009 by Davie Love and Scotty Rocker (the band’s lead guitarist and drummer respectively). In their short few years they have played with many NZ bands and big name internationals such as, Slash, ZZ Top, Alice Cooper and on October 12th, as the launchpad for their debut album release tour, they will take the stage with Def Leppard.
After releasing three singles, in the last 18 months - Look At Me Now, Give it All Up For Rock and Want This – they are finding their feet with a new singer that has moulded well into the already ‘well-seasoned’ crew. Australian-born, Mark Furze, has been based in Los Angeles for the year pursuing his career of singing, acting and writing music. He has already received acclaim for his work as front man of band, Falcon Road, and also for his acting roles, including a long stint on Home and Away.
