Schecter Friday Night NAMM 'Indie' Party !
If our big Saturday night show with Cheap Trick was not enough … we threw our 2nd annual ‘secret’ Indie party on Friday (1/14) night at the JUKE JOINT in Anaheim.
Over 400 lucky guests packed the place to see several of Schecter’s new bands blast it out ‘old school’ … small stage, bad PA, dingy lights, bar fights .. the works!
SKUMLOVE kicked the show off with their brand of industrial metal. Fronted by Schecter's own Skum, their set included special guests SIN (Ministry / Lords of Acid), Tom (PMM) and Steve Pig (KMFDM).
Next up was the maiden show for former Coal Chamber members Meegs Rascon and Mikey Cox new group WE ARE THE RIOT. Great set even was the intermittent sound system. You can expect to hear a lot more from this band in the near future.
After some quick PA repairs, PC101 was up next, featuring several Schecter staff, including pres Michael Ciravolo on vocals, Colin Alfin on guitar and Matt Vicknair on bass. A blistering set of '70s era punk covers ensued, with special guests PETE DEE of the ADICTs and Ms. SEAN YSEULT of WHITE ZOMBIE joining the band on stage.
After some quick drum repairs, courtesy of the PC101 set ending drum demolition, the BUTCHER BABIES tore it up. Fronted by the tag team of the lovley Heidi and Carla, they ripped through their Plasmatic-Mansonesque blood and sex set.
